Just a short couple of months after the wrap up of their first ever all acoustic tour, today marks the release of The Maine’s brand new DVD – An Acoustic Evening With The Maine. The film serves as a documentary featuring not only behind the scenes interviews, but also professionally shot footage from their acoustic tour’s hometown stop in Arizona.
Collaborating with Kachina Creative Studios and 8123 in the production and release of the DVD – An Acoustic Evening With The Maine rounds off a series of unplugged endeavours by the band. The first of which was their all acoustic EP Imaginary Numbers which sold out of physical copies soon after it’s release back in December. This incredible demand from the fans inspired The Maine to rework and create acoustic renditions of some of their other material to take on the road for a series of live shows in select North American cities earlier this year.
The DVD provides an opportunity for fans worldwide to share in the hometown experience of the acoustic tour with the band. The setlist on the tour consisted of songs from The Maine’s four full length albums along with some never before performed tunes off the acoustic EP – all of which were captured on film and included in the production.
The band has dabbled in similar creative releases previously – with the release of 2012’s Anthem For A Dying Breed DVD which featured a behind the scenes look at the making of their 2011 full length album Pioneer along with live footage was shot at a performance in Brazil.
An Acoustic Evening With The Maine is the first time the band has been able to open up their hometown show experience to their worldwide audience.
