VANS WARPED TOUR PREMIERES NICK SANTINO’S NEW SINGLE ‘CAN’T SAY I MISS YOU’

VANS WARPED TOUR PREMIERES NICK SANTINO’S NEW SINGLE ‘CAN’T SAY I MISS YOU’ OFF UPCOMING DEBUT ALBUM: BIG SKIES – FAN PRE-ORDER AVAILABLE NOW

Following last week’s album announcement of his upcoming debut full length Big Skies, Braintree Massachusetts’ Nick Santino has released one of his new songs in the form of a lyric video. The song, ‘Can’t Say I Miss You’ premiered by Vans Warped Tour earlier today – the festival at which Santino will be spending his entire summer performing new tunes off the upcoming record. The timing of the full-length’s release, couldn’t be better suited to his summer plans. “Big Skies is a record full of real music. The sound of this record has a rock n roll vibe with a summer time, windows down feel,” Santino explains.

Big Skies was recorded earlier this year in the 8123 Studios in Phoenix, AZ. For Santino, the studio decision was an easy one. “This record was by far my favorite record to create in all of my musical career,” he reveals. “I got to do it in a place I was comfortable with people I’ve known for years.” Working with Pat Kirch of The Maine as the album’s producer, Santino recruited other longtime friends and fellow musicians to participate in the recording process. “We were all on the same page artistically and musically.  We had a small idea of where we wanted to take it and we let the record grow on its own.”

Fans of the frontman’s former band, A Rocket To The Moon, will undoubtedly not be disappointed with Santino’s solo debut under his own name. Drawing influence from the likes of Tom Petty, Santino’s album Big Skies is also sure to cross genres and appeal to fans of bands like The Wallflowers and The Maine.

When looking ahead to the album’s release, Santino states the goal is to “release music that I enjoy creating to people who enjoy listening to it. I’m going to continue to naturally grow as an artist and a musician and I think that is an important thing for the listener to hear.”

The lyric video for ‘Can’t Say I Miss You’ can be seen over on the Vans Warped Tour’s website

The first single off Big Skies, ‘Long Way Home’ is currently available on iTunes  as a part of the 8123 Single Series.

The debut full length from Nick Santino, is set to drop May 27th 2014 via EightyOneTwentyThree Management and is available for fan pre-order nowHERE
