New York, NY, December 3, 2013 – Jodi Good teamed up with ARTISTDirect to premiere the brand new lyric video for her hit single, “Definitely Different” today. The new lyric is set atop the original music video for “Definitely Different,” which will be making its in-store debut this month – playing at select Macy’s, Nordstrom, Journeys, American Eagle Outfitters, Polo and Tilly’s Skate and Surf stores throughout the nation. The music video is also set into video rotation on Princess and Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines and at the Stratosphere Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas throughout the holiday season.  Jodi is a New York-based singer/songwriter, making a name for herself by being bold. Authentic. And definitely different. The message of the video is all about encouraging people to be confident with those differences, whether or not they’re a pageant queen or just generally have a “different” way of approaching life! Jodi’s songwriting skills and vocal talents go well beyond her years and are what have been impressing fans both young and old since the release of her EP “Definitely Different.” The EP is available on iTunes, here: http://bit.ly/DefinitelyDifferent.

With a musical style best described as “empowering pop,” a richly soulful voice, and highly defined songwriting talents, Jodi is taking the scene by storm. Her 5-track EP is a vibrant combination of vulnerable and uplifting lyrics with a mesmerizing melodic sense. Jodi teamed up with NYC-based producer/songwriter/mixer Jimmy Landry (former A&R rep at Capitol and Elektra Records) to produce the album. Landry and Jodi’s combined efforts result in a wonderfully expansive EP that expresses the depth and diversity of Jodi’s artistry.Definitely Different is a title Jodi wears. It represents the courage she’s had to overcome her paralyzing shyness and her deep-seated insecurities.

“My message is ‘accept your differences, then love them,'” she says. There is a euphoric “it’s going to be alright” feeling that courses through Definitely Different. The buoyant leadoff single is emboldening because of its powerful candor, humor, and sweet self-acceptance.“That song encompasses who I am, all my idiosyncrasies. It is an autobiography in the form of a song,” Jodi says. “It’s about embracing being different. Being different often has a negative connotation, but it’s not negative at all, it’s beautiful.”

Jodi is far from a stranger to the music industry. She was selected to perform during the esteemed Sundance Film Festival in 2013 and based on the strength of her first performance there, was invited to play additional exclusive showcases. Most recently, Jodi was chosen to perform at the CMJ Music Marathon in New York City and to speak on one of CMJ’s coveted panels to discuss songwriting.

Jodi’s passion for singing began at a ripe age of 4. Growing up, Jodi found solace in writing poetry and singing, and by 11, had put these passions together and emerged an innately gifted songwriter. She flourished at a performing arts high school, and later, earned a scholarship from Berklee College Of Music“When I got it in, I took it as a sign that maybe I really was ‘good enough'” she says. After an enriching two-year study at Berklee, she moved back home, to Long Island, before making the brave step to move to Manhattan to pursue a career as a professional musician.
