Snow White’s Poison Bite “Featuring: Dr. Gruesome And The Gruesome Gory Horror Show” Album Review

With two EP’s, via Poko Records, and one full-length album, via Sound of Finland’s Hyeena Trax, already under their belt, Finland natives, Snow White’s Poison Bite, have set the stage for a rapidly increasing fan base here in the U.S., as well as back in their homeland. This four-piece horror-punk band will be making their Victory Records debut in the form of a second full-length album titled Featuring: Dr. Gruesome And The Gruesome Gory Horror Show, which will be released on April 16th, 2013. This album is far from ordinary, it’s theatrical, hardcore, punk and alternative all thrown into each and every song; Snow White’s Poison Bite is redefining the meaning of originality and creativity within the music scene.

Featuring: Dr. Gruesome And The Gruesome Gory Horror Show starts off with a narrative introduction before taking off in the second track “The Gruesome Gory Horror Show” with fast paced drumming, catchy choruses, and foot-tapping guitar riffs. Following this track we hear a mixture of punk-rock and hardcore in the next several songs with perfectly timed and unmistakable screams from the bands singer/songwriter Allan Cotterill a.k.a Jeremy Thirteenth, as well as an array of clean vocals.

We then slow down for track 8 “Zombie Romance,” which features Michale Graves (ex Misfits), Cotterill and Graves complement each other with clean soothing vocals while we hear perfect guitar melodies over slight drum chords in the background. The last musical track off the album is “Lurking Inside of You,” which displays a toned down alternative side to Snow White’s Poison Bite that makes you want to get up and dance on your bedroom floor while no one is looking. Snow White’s Poison Bite leaves us with an ending narrative but assures all their fans, or as they call them “The Horror Crew,” that they will be back, and I think it’s safe to say that Snow White’s Poison Bite definitely won’t be leaving the music scene any time soon.

Snow White’s Poison Bite will be touring the U.S this April-June in support of Featuring: Dr. Gruesome And The Gruesome Gory Horror Show on The BryanStars Tour. Be sure to also pick up Featuring: Dr. Gruesome And The Gruesome Gory Horror Show when it hits stores April 16th, you wont be disappointed!
