Architects “Daybreaker” Album Review

ARCHITECTS is a four piece metalcore band from Brighton, United Kingdom. They are Sam Carter as vocals, Tom Searle on the guitar, Dan Searle on the drums and Onkar Judge on the bass. They are currently signed to no record label, but achieving nothing short of success and traveling worldwide. With their other albums being nothing short of unique sound, their new album named Daybreaker is definitely one of their best.

The one thing that would be most admirable about Daybreaker is the lyrics. They are heart-wrenchingly emotional in a good way, but also can have a toll on you to the fact that it makes you sit down and just think. Take a verse from their song “Alpha, Omega: ‘No light, no dark. No up’s, no downs. I’ll find peace, buried in the ground. The lights go out, the fuse has blown, no Heaven or Hell to bring me home.'” along with “Daybreak: ‘Carry the weight of thousands of years. Turn the page, let’s make it all disappear. We’ve had enough of inhibited progression, held back by cloak and dagger oppression.’”

Not only are the lyrics one part of the album that are unbelievably phenomenal, but the guitar and bass tie together in a way that makes every song sound beyond catchy. Every instrument flows together in such a brilliant way in every single song. When thoroughly listening to this whole album, you can definitely see how each member of the band makes their own instrument noticed and stand out.
